"By his wife Elizabeth, daughter of Sir John Allington, Kt., John Allott of Bentley, living in 1498, had two sons, Robert and John, and five daughters, Margaret, who m. Robert Marsh of Darton; Elizabeth, who m. John Hobson; Ann, m. to John Lockwood of Slaithwaite; Edith, m. first to Wm. Eyre of Bramley, and secondly to ... Leadbetter of Thriberg; Mary, who m. ... Carr of Darton. John, the second son, is said to be the forefather of the Allotts of Crigglestone, a village three miles south of Wakefield."
