- From "The Wives of Boaz Brown" NEHGR V140 Brown:
"Boaz Brown, Sr., was one of the founders of Stow, MA, in 1683. He was a member of the first board of selectmen nad served many times in that office. In 1694, his name last appeared on the list of town officers. In 1695 his name appeared in the records of Dedham, MA: "Boaz Brown of Stow & Mary Richards of Dedham was married Sept. 30, 1695" .... There is little doubt that Boaz, Sr. removed from Stow to Dedham. ... Not long after the death of his second wife Boaz Sr., removed to Concord, where he married 10 Sept. 1716 Abigail (Ballard) Wheat, the daughter of William Ballard of Andover, MA and the widow of Samuel Wheat of Concord."
