Christian Hanes b. between 1763 and 1770; m. Catharine Christein, daughter of Simon Christein and Sarah (?). He was buried in Portage Co., OH. He lived in 1799 in Shrewsbury Twp (now Springfield Twp), York Co., PA, purchased a 78-3/4 acre farm for 380 pounds (this tract of land believed to between Blymire's church and the town of Jacobus . . . and, possibly now under Lake Redman). Circa 1830 in Springfield Twp., York Co., PA--farm sold to son, Simon. He and Catharine appeared on the census of 1830 in Huntington Twp., Adams Co., PA with five children. He lived in Portage Co., OH with sons Anthony and Daniel and possibly others.Catharine Christein was born on Jul 12, 1771 in Philadelphia Co., PA. Was baptized Oct 29 1771 in Germantown Reformed, Germantown, PA. She was buried in Portage co., OH
