"Joseph, son of Henry (1) and Katherine (Rheinhardt) Rhoads, was b. about 1745 and d. 28 October 1799 in Muhlenberg Co., Kentucky. He m. Elizabeth ______. His will was dated 17 September 1799 and recorded in ...
Joseph is listed on the 1779, 1780, and 1783 Tax Lists as living in Cumberland Valley Township, Bedford Co., Pa. He was living in Quemahoning Twp. on 6 Feb. 1789.
On 15 October 1788 Joseph, and wife Elizabeth, sold the land known as "Round Meadow" which he had purchased from his father on 19 June 1773. This was probably just before they moved to Kentucky. Upon his death he deeded, th his sons, 200 acres of land in Fayette Co., Pa.
Joseph acquired 600 acres of land in Logan County, Kentucky in 1796 under the "Grants South of Green River". "
