Notes |
- From "Geneologies of Rhoads-Scott and Related Families" 1986:
"Henry Rhoads (Henrick Rode Jr.) probably lived in Md. for a period and finally settled in an area of Cumberland Co., Pa., which later became Turkeyfoot Township, Bedford Co. (and is now Somerset Co.). He married Katherina Rheinhardt, said to be the daughter of Ulrich Rheinhardt. Some claim that Henry was b. in the Palentinate, (Germany), 23 January 1712, but no record has been found to substantiate that claim. He d. 7 April 1774 at Ursina, Bedford County (now Somerset Co.) Pa and his will is recorded at the Bedford Co. Court House and dated 28 January 1774."
