    • Rev. Mayo brought his family toNew England in 1640, settled first in Barnstable, moved to Eastham where he was the first pastor of the church, and finally to Boston, becoming the first minister of the Second Church, “the old North Meeting House, on Salem Street. Hannah’s sister Elizabeth Mayo married Joseph Howes. They had three brothers, Samuel, Nathaniel and John Mayo. The settlement of the intestate estate of Rev. John Mayo, made 15 June 1676, divided the main portion of the estate into thirds among his three surviving children, andThomas Huckens signed the agreement on behalf of Hannah Bacon. The inventory of estate dated 1 June 1675, totaled £111.04s with no real estate.
