Clearly, the Ann living with Jonathan Firth in 1841 is the right one, but it's hard to believe that
her mother was over 60. A Penistone Parish search did not yield any Ann dau. of Jonathan
around 1831. There were two possible Ann's found:
Ann Firth dau of George Firth/Betsey Slater b. 9 Jan 1831 in Middlp?
Ann Firth dau of Joshua Firth/Elizabeth Cropland b. 6 July 1833
George and Betsey moved to Cheshire according to a family tree online.
The second Ann matches the Ann age 7 in 1841 living with Joshua Firth.
There was also an Ann Firth dau of Thomas/Ann baptized in nearby Emley in 1831. However, this Ann appears to be in
the 1841 census age 9 with the family of John Wilkinson. This Ann's mother is likely Nancy Wilkinson who married Thomas
Firth in 1822.
